Child Enrichment

We are underway in our 2017-18 school year program.

The Child Enrichment (CE) Program is a affordable, high quality, state licensed child care program. The CE Program is for children ages 5 to 12 (kindergarten through fifth grade) and provides care in a before and after school setting which stimulates their imagination while engaging them in fun learning activities. The curriculum which has been developed will help children see themselves as citizens of the world. Culture, products, cities, and foods will be discussed within the context of different countries. This year we were very excited to add the STEAM curriculum to our program - that's science, technology, engineering arts, and math.  Our children are learning about basic machines and beginning robotics, as well as participating in "mad" science experiments, creating unique art activities and looking at how math touches our everyday lives.

We are very excited about our newly refurbished site at the Alton YWCA.  The space is bright and inviting and creates a positive atmosphere in which our children can learn and play.

The YWCA of Alton also offers Summer Camp and Holiday Camps at the YWCA location for children ages 5-12.

The YWCA of Alton currently provides enriched child care in the Alton, Wood River, and Roxana school districts.
