Meet the CE Staff
A Message from the CE Manager
We had a great summer camp program this year with lots of activities to keep our children entertained and engaged for 11 weeks! We visited some very amazing places in and around our area. We learned about plants and gardening at the Edwardsville Children’s Museum, found our bliss with local yoga teacher Ms. Joey, had a pottery lesson from Mississippi Mud Pottery and became engineers with the US Army Corps of Engineers. As soon as we said goodbye to a wonderful summer we turned our thoughts, energy and resources to plan and prepare for a stellar year in our before and after school programs. We are eager and excited to be offering even more enrichment activities to challenge young minds as we implement the STEAM curriculum - that's science, technology, engineering, arts and math - at all four of our program sites. We are learning about basic machines and beginning robotics, as well as participating in "mad" science experiments, creating unique art activities, and understanding how math touches our lives every day. We invite you to visit our newly refurbished site at the Alton YWCA and see for yourself just how much we can accomplish in just three hours a day.
