JOIN US FOR AN AFTERNOON OF UNITY!
YWCA is excited to be partnering with Nana Beacoat to present our FINAL CommUNITY Circle session on March 6 via Zoom. The virtual event will begin at 2p.m.
CommUNITY Circles are a series of sessions where we discuss cultural identities, hidden biases, micro aggressions, and current harms inflicted upon communities of color and how to take steps to eliminate racism. This session they will be structuring the conversation around the ideas in My Grandmother’s Hands: Radicalized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies by Resmaa Menakem.
Every session presents an opportunity to pause, process, and proceed in the quest for racial healing, justice, and equity. The first 20 registrants will receive a copy of the book for free!
CommUNITY Circles is a program made possible through the Healing Illinois grant.
