Since 1991, the YWCA honors and celebrates dynamic leaders who are making a difference in our community and embody our mission to eliminate racism and empower women. In their work and community service, they fight inequality with grace, unify diverse individuals to work as one for the better good, and encourage the enhancement of everyone’s unique qualities. In nearly three decades, the YWCA has honored and celebrated over 290 Women of Distinction and annually celebrates their contribution and dedication to the community at the Women of Distinction Event.
