Since 1991, YWCA honors and celebrates dynamic leaders who are making a difference in our community and embody our mission to eliminate racism and empower women. In their work and community service, they improve communities, demonstrate a commitment to the YWCA mission of eliminating racism & empowering women, work for needed social change and develop programs positively impacting families in areas of health, safety, and economic stability.
In nearly three decades, the YWCA has honored and celebrated over 300 Women of Distinction and annually celebrates their achievements at the Women of Distinction Event.

The 2021 Women of Distinction Event was unique as we celebrated both the 2020 and 2021 Honorees in August.
